21/12/09: Will it be a white Christmas?
Posted by Rachel Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Who knows!?! But i certainly hope i do not have to place a dainty hoof on the fluffy, white, cold stuff! As you can see it got very close to paying me a visit in my stable! I mean it is all very seasonal and all but why does it have to be so cold? On a festive note where are all my christmas cards? You are all scrooges! I have had one merry christmas message, mummy 1 thought it was for her, but it was quite clearly for me, from one of our new members Hannah, and she hasn't even met me yet! I sent her a christmas card back, me and mummy 1 had a little argument over that as i wanted to sign my name first but she wouldn't let me :( But for future reference unless you make up for it with lots of birthday cards in April you are all getting crossed off my christmas card list and maybe even my friendship list. I have the power to do that being a Prince and all that Jazz!
I do have some very bad, bad, bad, bad news though... It appears that my holidays have come an end, a shocking end, as i had no warning of this! I was paid a visit by our kind mister farrier man and he put my shoes back on, and that can only mean one thing... the dread 'W' word.... W................O................ R............... K!!!!!! Gives me the shivers just spelling it out! The only good thing is that this means i will start to be out and about at parties, like those rallies and competitions our club organise! I better get polishing my party shoes then as mister farrier man didn't do them before putting them back on, i will have to get him told... or maybe just hope my mummies have got me a solid silver or gold set for Christmas.... hmmmmm we will see!
Hope you all have a brilliant Christmas and New Year! See and speak to you soon!
Lots of love

Well I’m the head of the stables at Cherry Bank, near keswick. I determine how things are ran, including when meal times are and how long my friends get in the field. I had an enjoyable successful career in the show ring, till my jockey, Mummy 1, got old. I usually spend the most of winter living out in the fields and every year around December I get brought into the stable and start to hear whispers about coming back into work?! Gutting, every year I think i've been retired with my old pal Jaffa. But it is not to be, I’m sure life will be a lot easier now i don't have to trail the country chasing those 'hoys' qualifiers or whatever she called them. I don't need to go to 'Horse of the Year Show' to be told I’m the best anymore, i already know i am! Mummy 1 is also called Rachel Simpson. She goes to 'committee meetings'. Now she she needs you to send things for her to talk about at meetings... I've suggested lobbying to change the pony racing height limit to include me, abolishing stable management in favour of treat testing days and the possibility of me and my brother Billy Jackson organising a fashion show for horses, but they all fell on deaf ears, you would think i spoke in a different language...
